A Pattern of Words

One photograph a day to make the world spin a little slower.

  • Christmas starts quick around here.

  • She knows she gets a piece of candy for practicing her Lithuanian words and phrases, so she’s very good at remembering to bring them to me. Now if we could just get her to incorporate the words in her daily life…

  • S and his Nanny

  • We have too many deer in our neighborhood. It’s a real problem and it’s a little unnerving how often they’re wandering around during the day, completely unintimidated by cars or people.

  • The neighborhood Christmas parade always takes us by surprise with how early it feels: the turkey is barely eaten, the house has just JUST been cleared of Halloween decorations, and time to go pull out those Christmas headbands.

  • The smile she pulls out when there’s candy at stake.

  • I’m not sure if she loves her ballet class more, or the rituals surrounding it (putting away clothing in a locker, putting on shoes, wearing a leotard, etc).

  • “I love Snoofy. And his yellow friend. I don’t know his name.”

  • We have entered our Toothless Era. (photo compliments of Teta T)

  • Teta T and L came to town for Thanksgiving.
