  • While they’re usually pretty good about posing for group shots, they’re very anti-unposed photos. When my camera comes out, they scream “RUN!” and begin giggling madly.

  • R’s first sleepover (unplanned). She wasn’t sure what she thought of sharing a room with her excitable cousins.

  • Five has been a stellar age for N. She’s always been my easy going, quick to listen kid – probably making up for those first six months where she did nothing but scream miserably. She excels at big sister duties – routinely herding E into place and making sure any job gets done. Socializing is…

  • I think more time was spent flicking dirt and grass and spraying each other with the hose, than in the actual pool.

  • These things were surprisingly fast and unsurprisingly a huge hit with my kids.

  • If there is a single rainbow colored item in a house, N will find it. I think I know what she wants for her birthday this year.

  • Flashback to cousins bonding. N wanted to draw a unicorn, so Teta K pulled out an ipad with a handy-dandy projector that throws an image onto a normal piece of paper. It was very fancy. Unfortunately, the massive catalog of images available didn’t include a unicorn, so N was unimpressed.

  • Can’t remember why they were all so shocked, but it was a hilarious view as a I was walking up the front steps and saw them all peering out the door. I told them to freeze so I could grab the camera.

  • Having our yearly debate on whether her hair is red or “almost brown!”

  • It’s an exercise in humility to let E dress herself daily.
